Our Trip to Rocky Point!

Ok well if you keep up with my facebook page, then you know we LOVE to travel. Our latest adventure, we visited Rocky Point in Mexico. Never in my life have I ever been to a beach that I found as many AMAZING shells as I did here. We saw a stingray, a sea lion, a lot of adorable little fish and even some hermit crabs. The food was amazing, the Margaritas WOW, and well I even drank a pina colada out of a pineapple haha! This will not be our last trip to this amazing spot! :)

Emma!

The oh so squishy Emma! This little beauty is just as sweet as she looks. I had so much fun with her and her mom last week in the studio! I love seeing these babies every few months, it makes me anxious to see them the next time and see how much they have changed! :) Thank you Karina, until next time!

An Unscripted Tradition {playing in the rain}

I started a tradition with my daughter as soon as she learned to walk...playing in the rain. Not only does she enjoy it immensely, it always sparks the kid in me too. I do not always document it, but it is something that I have made sure to have images of over the years. Today was one of those days I took my camera with us and I am so glad I did! A dust storm followed by a monsoon here in AZ that came and went quickly and we took full advantage of it.

As I started to edit these I realized that after nearly 4yrs of this tradition I have created something way BIGGER than just being silly, spontaneous, and from head to toe.. soaked. haha I have created years of memories I can keep forever. Something that seems so simple and fun has become way more than that.  These images are created out of LOVE for my daughter and the experiences I share with her. Photography is not a business when I am with her. The images are amazing even if they are not technically perfect. To me they are absolutely perfect and cherished. These moments are the very reason I ever wanted to pick up a camera in the first place! So today, I encourage every one of you to do the same. Use your phone, point and shoot, or whatever you have and make sure you have years and years to look back on of your kids. Start a tradition with them, and capture it! Lastly love them with all your heart & soul! :)

Please enjoy a little look back over the years of Brynlee playing in the rain and a few of our "keep on carrying on tradition" images from today!
